MARIBYRNONG ORCHID SOCIETY WINTER SHOW FOR 2008
We had a good turnout to see our 2008 Winter Orchid Show, despite the cold. There were some fantastic Winter flowerers. As well as our member's orchid displays, refreshments, plant sales and orchid accessory sales and a raffle were all a part of the weekend.

The Grand Champion Orchid of the Show was this magnificent Phragmapedium Living Fire 'Queenscliffe'

Members displays show great diversity and creativity in their individual displays
The show tables display an impressive array of orchids in bloom
This Paphiopedilum villosum was one of many plants to win multiple sections
Cymbidiums, natives and exotics happily sit side by side
Healthy plants as far as the eye can see
The plants spark much discussion between members and visitors
Members also displayed skill in their floral art arrangements
Refreshments were available for those who needed to recharge their batteries
Sales plants were tempting for anyone wishing to add to their collections, or start a new one
The AOC Conference 2009 is to be hosted by Maribyrnong Orchid Society and held in Werribee
