Every year, the society holds several bus trips, ending the year with a Christmas dinner.

So far, we have held three bus trips this year with a fourth scheduled on the 19th October to Orchid Species Plus in Kingston, near Ballarat.

The last trip included a visit to the Mornington Peninsula. Despite a chilly start a great day was had by all. First stop was the Tyabb Packing House Antiques Centre and the Tyabb Art & Craft Village, then down the road to Wayne Turville's Australian Orchid Nursery to wander amongst the orchids. As always, Wayne and his family and staff were terrific hosts and the BBQ was up to it's usual standard. After lunch we moved on to the Orchid Spectacular at Collector's Corner, Gardenworld, in Braeside. The show lived up to it's name and the orchid displays were spectacular. Thanks to everyone who helped make the day so successful.
